Today in Masaiti, We Kept Girls in School

Today Living Seed Foundation ran a sanitary pad donation at Chikumbi Secondary School, Masaiti District that will help keep girls in school.

Hundreds of girls walked in carrying the weight of “period shame” and missed class days. They walked out with dignity, confidence, and pads that will keep them in school for months.

Periods shouldn’t mean missing lessons. But without support, many girls in rural Zambia stay home 3-5 days every month. That adds up to weeks of lost learning every year. Today we changed that story for the girls at Chikumbi. But this is just one school, one day.
