Help Youth Navigate Life

Helping the Next Generation Navigate Life

At the Living Seeds Foundation, we believe young people deserve truth, healthy guidance, and a safe place to grow in their relationship with God. We are developing practical, Bible-based materials to help youth navigate life, recognize unhealthy spiritual influence, process church hurt, understand their identity, and recognize when someone is taking advantage of their trust.

Our desire is to equip, not control; guide, not manipulate; and build up, not tear down.

If you would like to help us reach the next generation through this project, your gift can help make these resources possible.

Joel MK Notes: {Why So Many Youths Are Being Misled}

A lot of young people today are searching. They want purpose, direction, love, and hope. And because of that hunger, some people who call themselves “Christians” take advantage of it.

But being called a Christian and living like Christ are two different things.

(1) They use faith as a platform, not a purpose

Some people use the church, the Bible, and “God said” to gain followers, money, influence, or power. The youth are targeted because we are energetic, trusting, and willing to serve. Deep down it’s not about God —it’s about what they can get.

(2) They preach blessing, but live in manipulation

They will tell youths “Sow a seed and you’ll be rich” or “follow me and God will use you” but there’s no accountability, no character, no love. Jesus said “You will know them by their fruits” Matthew 7:20. Fake fruit is sweet at first, but it leaves you empty.

(3) Youths are hungry for belonging

Many of us don’t have mentors, fathers, or guidance at home. So when someone calls us “son”, “daughter”, “the next prophet”, we feel seen. That’s where manipulation starts—using our need for identity against us.

(4) The truth gets mixed with lies

The most dangerous lies are 90% truth. They will quote scripture, pray loud, and do miracles. But their heart is far from God. Jesus warned about wolves in sheep’s clothing.

[So what do we do?]

1. Test everything “Test the spirits to see whether they are from God” -1 John 4:1

2. Look at character, not just charisma- Is their life private the same as their life on stage?

3. Stay in the Word yourself - If you don’t know Truth, you’ll fall for anything.

4. Find real community- People who correct you, serve you, and point you to Christ, not to themselves.

Real Christianity doesn’t use people. It serves them. Jesus washed feet. He didn’t use people to build His name.
